Overview:

Our signature Wine Tour. There are plenty of wine tours out there, we think ours is a little bit more premium. We offer a door to door service to your Yarra Valley accommodation. We tick off the big players in Chandon, Yering and Balgownie Estate for wine tastings, but can tailor to the needs of private groups if you prefer to visit others, or if you want to “get off the beaten track” a bit, we have a few smaller players we love to taste too. It all culminates in a chef’s table 3-course luncheon in Restaurant 1309 at Balgownie Estate.

Transport from Melbourne suburbs also possible for additional fee. Let’s see what the best of the Yarra Valley has to offer! Buon appetite!

Itinerary:

Accommodation Pick Up

Chandon (1hr)
We kick off our adventure at Chandon Winery, one of the crown jewels of the Yarra Valley. Built in 1986, it has led the way in not only popularity, but by assisting the Yarra Valley be put on the map with incredible architecture, views and of course, wine! We will enjoy a guided wine tasting of 5 sparkling wines and immerse ourselves in the stories of bubbles in the Yarra Valley.

Yering Estate (1.5hrs)
Next, we cross the Valley to Yering Station, one of our personal favourites. Here we will go back in time, from modernness of Chandon to the historical 1838-built, and Victoria’s first ever Winery! One of the great cellar doors, accompanied by a stunning signature restaurant and breathtaking grounds make this a truly unforgettable Yarra Valley wine experience. Cool-climate light reds are the popular choice here.

Balgownie Estate (2hrs)
We’ll make our way to the Balgownie Estate, first for a Wine Tasting in the newly refurbished cellar door; modern, chic, just cool. The Balgownie story started back in 1969 in Bendigo, but it wasn’t until the turn of the century that the Vines in the Yarra Valley were planted. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay will be on the menu as two of their signature wines.

Restaurant 1309 @ Balgownie Estate (1hr)
Only footsteps from the Cellar Door is the renowned Restaurant 1309, a favourite of ours in the Yarra Valley. This amazing luncheon has been specially crafted for our guests in direct consultation with the Chef and the team at Balgownie Estate. 3 courses, all delicious!

Surprise
If time allows, and the group is keen, we have a surprise visit after lunch.
