We’ll kick things off with an early pick-up from your Yarra Valley accommodation. Our tour leader will ensure the team stays together for the adventure, and you haven’t hit the Snooze button!

Soar Above the Yarra Valley
The highlight of your morning—take off as the sun rises! You’ll soar over the Yarra Valley’s iconic scenery, soaking in the serenity and beauty that only ballooning can offer. Group photos can be taken by your tour leader during setup of balloon and whilst taking off!

Pricing

Why book with Yarra Valley X? We specialise in groups! Personalised approach of your own tour leader, your own photographer, and a driver to pick you up from your accommodation to keep the team together! We also have the ability to organise a group of up to 48 people! We can also add a stop or two post-balloon flight if you wish for a group photo opportunity or for any other discussed activity that Yarra Valley X may offer.

Tiered rates for this experience as follows:

8-14 persons $499 p/hd (weekday) $529 p/hd (weekend)
15+ persons $469 p/hd (weekday) $499p/hd (weekend)
We can cater for up 8-24 people per balloon ride, and can book up to 2 balloons (max. people 48)
Discounts available for corporate groups including the opportunity of your private balloon – please contact us directly at hello@yarravalleyx.com.au with requested no. of people and desired date
Booking available on our website up to 7 days in advance. If you are looking for a balloon flight in less than this time, please contact us directly at hello@yarravalleyx.com.au to check availability, it is still very likely (depending on numbers) if given 1-2 days notice

FAQ's

How long does the balloon flight last?

The flight itself lasts approximately 1 hour, but the entire experience, including pick-up, flight preparation, and breakfast, takes about 4–5 hours.

What should I wear for the balloon flight?

Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing. Layers are best since it can be chilly before sunrise but warm up quickly. Closed-toe shoes are required (no sandals or heels). A hat is also recommended, as the burners can radiate heat.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Hot air ballooning is weather-dependent. If the flight is canceled due to unsafe conditions, we’ll work with you to reschedule or provide a refund.

Is it safe?

Yes! Safety is our top priority. Our experienced pilots are fully licensed, and all equipment meets the highest safety standards. You’ll also receive a safety briefing before takeoff.

How high does the balloon fly?

Typically, balloons fly between 500 and 3,000 feet above the ground, depending on weather conditions. This altitude provides breathtaking views of the Yarra Valley!

Terms & Conditions

In the event of ‘Go Wild Ballooning’ cancelling the balloon flight, an alternative day in the same period will be offered, i.e. potentially the following morning. If not possible, a credit voucher will be given for a balloon flight to be taken within 12 months of cancellation date.
Any cancellations (by the customer) more than 30 days from the experience are fully refunded.
Any cancellations (by the customer) between 15 and 30 days from the experience will receive a credit note.
Any cancellations (by the customer) 14 days or less from the experience are non-refundable.
All experiences with Yarra Valley X guests are insured under our public liability policy. Any experiences that involve a third party supplier activity, a third-party waiver form will be required to be signed at the activity’s induction
